Outgoing Seminar

The main part of the project was a trip undertaken by the participants and their teachers to Dachau. There, in the period from 4th to the 7th of November 2013 daily activities that were carried out in collaboration with Max Mannheimer Studienzentrum took place. Within the framework of the course, two visits to the Memorial Dachau were organized, among other activities, which were always preceded by introductory classes. After each visit, a concluding summary was presented, during which the youth expressed their thoughts and impressions. Other classes were divided into modules, comprised of workshops, working in small groups with a maximum of 12 participants. They were related to topic that linked the city and the camp, discourses on memory focusing on the former concentration camp at Dachau after 1945, and regarding the judicial process of "Dachau" from the years 1945 to 1946. On the last day there was a meeting with various guests: with a Witness (Abba Naor) and politician (Tobias Schneider).

Meanwhile during the overall stay in Dachau, participants undertook their respective research projects, as one of the required tasks was to present their thoughts on the topic on memory regarding totalitarianism in different socio-historical contexts. The results of their work were presented by them to the public during a subsequent student conference. They were also included in a subsequent electronic publication entitled "Journey to the Memorial Site Dachau". Scientific and Didactical Materials "edited by Kinga Anna Gajda and Aneta Pazik.
