Spotkanie z Aaiún Nin

22 listopada br. w ramach zajęć prowadzonych przez dr hab. Kingę Annę Gajdę pt. Wizerunki kobiet i mężczyzn w kulturze europejskiej odbyło się spotkanie z Aaiún Nin, poet(k)ą, artyst(k)ą i aktywist(k)ą. W swojej twórczości Aaiún Nin podejmuje wątki dyskryminacji rasowej i płciowej, a także doświadczeń osób LGBT+. Spotkanie rozpoczęło się od wysłuchania wiersza Nin "Black skin in the forsaken outback of the world" i zakończyło analizą innych utworów. Podczas dyskusji poruszono takie zagadnieniach, jak: kulturowe postrzeganie płci/gender, prawa człowieka, emigracja, postkolonializm, społeczna i performatywna rola sztuki. Nin opowiedział(a) o tym, jak czuje się w Polsce.
 
There was a meeting with the poet, artist and activist Aaiún Nin. The lecture by Nin was a part of the course titled images of women and men in European culture delivered by prof. Kinga Anna Gajda.
 
Aaiún Nin in "their" work takes up the topics of racial and gender discrimination and the experiences of LGBT + people. The meeting started with listening to the poem Nin "Black skin in the forgotten wilderness of the world", and ended with an analysis of other pieces. During the discussion, issues such as: cultural perception of gender, human rights, emigration, post-colonialism, social and performative role of art were raised. Nin told about how "their" feels in Poland.
